When you want to start a business like this you will need to take a look into the different people within the market and think of how much they charge for their services. Pricing in the recycling industry will differ from company to company so you will want to try and offer the best possible price and service that you can to encourage businesses and community buildings to use your business for their needs.

Before you go ahead and invest in your recycling machines, crusher and floor scale, you will need to contact your local authority to check what the rules and regulations are when thinking about your waste disposal. You may need a transport certificate for the business so make sure that you take the time to check up on everything and get permission from the council in your area.

If you are making your business to help the planet and get rid of your materials in a better way, make sure you market it! People love to feel like they are making a difference to the world, so if you want to really make an impression on your audience you can develop an eco-friendly message and spread it far and wide.

You will, of course, need money to fund your project, and you can get this money in a number of different ways. The first and most obvious way is to dip into your existing savings if you have a sizable sum. However, if you don’t, you can also think about asking for a loan or crowdfunding for the business in your local area alongside a great sales pitch. Ensure you have enough money to cover staff, transport, maintenance and disposal.
