If you are running a warehouse or food business and you are wanting to be more eco-friendly then you could think about how you produce your products. If your food business isn’t working with organic food then maybe you should think about changing this up. Yes, it can be more expensive to produce this kind of food but the planet and the people will thank you for it. More and more people are buying organic produce. You might also want to look into agricultural cleaning as your tools, equipment, and surroundings will need to be sparkling.
Solar Power
How about using a renewable energy source to keep your business ticking over? Renewable energy is amazing and many businesses and homes have signed up for it. Rather than using actual electricity, you use the power supplied by wind or the sun for instance. Take a look at the benefits signing up for solar panels or wind turbines can bring for your business. It is a large sum of money in the beginning but you will soon be making it back with the money saved on your monthly and annual electricity bills.
Recycling
Another one that might seem obvious and was one of the first ways offices focused on the planet is recycling. You might already have bins dotted around the office for people to recycle both their unwanted paper products and used lunch cartons. There will always be more ways to recycle, for instance, only use recycled paper rather than fresh paper each time.
Eco-Friendly Products
Have you ever wondered what is in the products you use within your office? If you use cleaning products with high levels of harmful chemicals then these need to go somewhere. Guess where they go? Into the atmosphere, they are also not great for people’s lungs. Think about switching to non-odour eco-friendly products. These are gentler for both the user and the planet. They also come in recycled and recyclable bottles so you can keep spreading the goodness.
Working From Home
Finally, this may seem like a strange one but think about it, when you travel to the office you are adding to the carbon footprint of the planet. That is if you drive or use public transport, if you walk or take a bike then that is much better. However, you also need to think about how much heat your office block will be letting out with all those people, screens, and internet connections all working under one roof. Working from home means you don’t use as much internet or let out as much heat and it is just you working.
