A lot of business owners make the mistake of setting their product prices based on what other people are doing, or what they feel as though is fair. The main reason why this is such a flawed approach is because you have to take into account your profitability. The best way for you to do this would be for you to understand what your business expenses are, and what your tax liability is. You also need to take into account how much debt your company is in. Little things like this can help you to get on the right track and it will also help you to know if you need to make an adjustment.
You Don’t have a Viable Product
It may be that your product is not viable because it is costly to make, or because nobody actually wants it. Either way, if this is the case, then you may find that you end up really struggling overall. Ideally, you need to either shut down your business, or pivot, if you find yourself in either of these situations. If you are not marketing your company properly then this can work against you. You have to make sure that you are pushing yourself and that you are also not becoming complacent. You may feel as though you are bringing in a good amount of profit and this is great, but could you be making more?
